Once A Runner

Can't run.
Can't bike.
Even walking can be painful.

Shannon tried to cheer me up.
"Let's go fly kites!"

Sadness

  3. That's very sad. I'll bring my motorcycle over. We'll tie that kite to the rear fender and drag it all over that field. ;-) It may not fly, but we'll have fun trying to launch it. And best of all, no running! See life ain't all bad...

  4. You should give your arms a workout while your legs rest, say by taking a kayak out on Crabtree Lake!!!

  5. Hasn't the solution to your previous injuries been to just register for and run a race? I might be mistaken. But, that's worked in the past, hasn't it?

  7. What kind of a kite is that? It looks like a pop up tent for a cat. I am no kite expert but I say your problem is all in the kite selection!

  8. Heh AC, are those the Saucony Peregrines on your sad feet? I am re-adjusting my running and stepping back from full time Vibram to just a more minimalist style. I am considering the Kinvara/Peregrine combo.
Are trying looking for a solution to kite flying in the style of John Locke?

  9. @Beth- I will have a long, tedious, whining, multi-post explanation coming up.
@Frank- I think you're right. It's been all down hill since the red shoes died.
@Scott- thanks for the offer. might be better if you if just drag me all over the field
@Chris B.- we are planning on kayaking soon. maybe this weekend.
@Ash- Actually, taking a handful of Tylenol and racing anyway may have been a bad idea.
    @Dan - thanks lucy.
@Monique- wow, no sympathy from the sister. it's a tough kitchen.
@Chris J. - They are the merrell trail gloves. very comfortable. The are great for everything except running and walking.
