Thank you for participating.

The Running-Down Advanced Trail Running Ethics Course
Understanding the foundations of politeness: Sharing the trail with others. (This course is really for me. I need constant reminders)
  • Let people know your coming. Say "Good Morning!". Doesn't mater what time it is.
  • Passing.

    • Say "Passing on your left!"
    • They will say "OH!", dance for second, and then move to the left
    • so you actually pass on the right.
  • Say "Thank you!"
  • Stay alert for runners coming behind you.  They might sneak up, snatch your headphones and throw them into the nearby stream.

  1. I did the course in 6 seconds, can I get a discount?

  2. I took the course as well. I enjoyed the provided one second lunch but would have prefered they have not interupted the flow of the presentation. But overall the $95.00 per second was well worth the money.
However, I remain a bit confused on the "Be Polite" portion of the presentation and did not appreciate repeatedly being told not to talk to my neighbors and to hold my questions to the end of the presentation. And as for my cell phone ringing several times during the presentation? GET OVER IT! No one seems to mind it in church!

  4. Hey, missed a few posts but I am all caught up now. This is exactly what I needed. I am going to comment on 26.2 of your daily posts. I am injured, cracked a hip, not running and all my children are home all day for the summer. This will be a way to tract the emotional ups and downs of me slowly loosing my mind while you are out running.

  5. Whoa, for a second I thought that was "Preggo, preggo" -- an announcement.

Thank you for improving my running ethics. The check is in the mail and will likely bounce upon arrival.
